Minims is operated by Muser Plugins. Last updated: 28 June 2026.
Privacy policy
Muser Plugins operates Minims and related websites, applications, and services (the "Services") to provide a music production workspace for producers and their clients. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you visit, use, or purchase through the Services, or when you otherwise communicate with us.
If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described here.
Personal information we collect or process
When we use the term "personal information," we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. Personal information does not include information collected anonymously or that has been de-identified so that it cannot identify or be reasonably linked to you.
We may collect or process the following categories of personal information, including inferences drawn from this information, depending on how you interact with the Services, where you live, and as permitted or required by applicable law:
- Contact details, including your name, phone number, and email address;
- Account information, including your username, password, security questions, preferences, and settings for your account;
- Billing and transaction information, including subscription history, payment confirmations, and form of payment (payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored by us in full);
- Content and workspace data, including projects, audio files, notes, wiki pages, mix versions, issue stacks, and related metadata you upload or create;
- Client portal activity, including feedback, comments, uploads, sign-offs, and other interactions tied to shared links;
- Trial and usage information, including how you use trial or paid features and evaluation activity within the Services;
- Communications with us, including information you include in customer support, technical support, or other enquiries;
- Device and usage information, including IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and how you navigate and use the Services.
Client portal visitors may access shared content using a link and passcode without creating a Minims account. In those cases, we may still collect device and usage information associated with that access, such as IP address, browser type, and interaction data tied to the shared link.
Personal information sources
We may collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you, when you create an account, visit or use the Services, upload content, communicate with us, or otherwise provide personal information;
- Automatically through the Services, including from your device when you use the Services and through cookies and similar technologies;
- From our service providers, when they collect or process personal information on our behalf; and
- From other parties where you direct us to receive information, where you use integrated sign-in options, or where otherwise permitted by law.
How we use your personal information
Depending on how you interact with us or which parts of the Services you use, we may use personal information for the following purposes:
- Provide, tailor, and improve the Services, including to perform our contract with you, process payments, maintain your account, provide storage and client sharing features, and deliver the functionality you request;
- Manage subscriptions, billing, trials, and account changes;
- Provide customer support and technical support for the Services;
- Send notifications related to your account, security, software updates, or changes to the Services;
- Send marketing and promotional communications where permitted by law, from which you may opt out at any time;
- Conduct analytics, research, and product development to operate and improve the Services;
- Authenticate accounts, detect fraud, and protect the security and integrity of the Services; and
- Comply with applicable legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms and policies.
How we disclose personal information
In certain circumstances, we may disclose personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy. Such circumstances may include:
- Vendors and other third parties who perform services on our behalf, such as IT management, hosting, cloud storage, payment processing (including Stripe), data analytics, customer support, email delivery, and software delivery;
- Business and marketing partners, where they provide services to us or where you have consented to receive communications;
- Parties you direct, request, or otherwise consent to receive your information;
- Our affiliates or others within our corporate group;
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, bankruptcy, or sale of assets; and
- Regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when required or permitted by applicable law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Services, our users, or others.
Our vendors and contractors are authorised to use personal information only as needed to provide services to us and are expected to handle it in accordance with appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
Relationship with Stripe
The Services use Stripe to process subscription payments and certain other payment features. When you make a purchase or enter payment details, that information is collected and processed by Stripe. Minims does not store your full payment card details.
Information you submit for payment will be transmitted to and shared with Stripe, as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide payment functionality. Purchases and subscriptions made through the Services are made directly with Muser Plugins; however, Stripe enables us to provide payment processing to you.
To learn more about how Stripe uses personal information and any rights you may have, see Stripe's Privacy Policy and legal documents.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about you and your activity across the Services. For more detail, see our Cookie policy.
Security and retention of your information
Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee perfect security. Any information you send to us may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us.
While we retain personal information, we protect it using commercially acceptable means designed to prevent loss, theft, and unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
How long we retain personal information depends on factors such as whether we need the information to maintain your account, provide the Services, manage subscriptions and trials, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights listed below in relation to your personal information. These rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and in some cases we may decline your request as permitted by law.
- Right to access or know what personal information we hold about you;
- Right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
- Right to request deletion of personal information we maintain about you;
- Right to receive a copy of personal information in a portable format, where applicable;
- Right to restrict or object to certain processing, where applicable; and
- Right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior lawful processing.
You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the Contact details below. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Managing communication preferences: We may send you promotional emails or other marketing communications. You may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe option in our emails or by contacting us. If you opt out of marketing, we may still send non-promotional messages about your account, billing, security, or the Services.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we process personal information, please contact us using the contact details below and provide sufficient information for us to understand and investigate the issue. We will review your complaint and respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection or privacy regulator.
International transfers
We may transfer, store, and process personal information outside Australia, including in countries where we or our service providers maintain facilities. We take steps designed to ensure that international transfers are protected in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Business transfers
If we or our assets are acquired, or in the unlikely event that we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any successor may continue to use personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, subject to any notice required by law.
Third-party websites and links
The Services may provide links to websites, tools, or content operated by third parties. If you follow links to sites not controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
Children's data
The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under the age of 18. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the contact details below to request deletion.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on this page and update the last updated date. We will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
Your continued use of the Services after any changes to this Privacy Policy will be regarded as acceptance of our updated practices, except where further consent is required by law.
For the purpose of applicable data protection laws, Muser Plugins is the data controller of your personal information.
Terms of service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Minims and related services provided by Muser Plugins ("we", "us", or "our"). Minims is an online workspace for music production, including projects, mix versions, notes, wiki pages, and client sharing.
Please read these Terms carefully, as they include important information about your legal rights and cover areas such as warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy policy, and our Refund policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Eligibility and account security
By using the Services, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or license your account to any other person.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate account, billing, and contact information for all purchases and to promptly update that information as needed so we can complete transactions and contact you about your account.
The Services
Minims supports music production workflows such as mix version tracking, structured feedback, notes, and client delivery. The Services are designed to sit alongside your existing creative tools. Minims is not a digital audio workstation and does not replace the software and hardware you use in the studio.
Descriptions of features, plans, and limits are subject to change. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. You are responsible for verifying that the Services meet your needs before subscribing or relying on them for a production workflow.
Subscriptions and billing
Certain features require a paid subscription billed on a recurring basis unless cancelled. Subscriptions are purchased through Stripe Checkout and may be managed through Stripe's billing tools made available in your account settings. Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change. The price charged for a subscription will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed and will be set out in your order confirmation or billing records. Unless otherwise stated, posted prices do not include taxes, which may be added where applicable.
You authorise us and Stripe to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscription fees and applicable taxes. If a payment fails, we may suspend or limit access to paid features until payment is successfully processed.
You may cancel a subscription through your account or billing settings. Cancellation stops future billing but, unless otherwise stated at checkout, you will retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. Storage limits, project limits, and other plan restrictions may apply depending on your subscription tier.
We may offer a free tier or time-limited trial so you can evaluate the Services before paying. When a trial ends, access to trial features may revert to the limits of your free tier unless you subscribe. Trial availability, duration, and eligibility may change at any time.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload or create in the Services, including audio files, notes, wiki content, and project data. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, process, transmit, display, and back up that content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to upload, store, and share your content through the Services, and that your content does not violate applicable law or infringe the rights of any third party.
Client sharing and payments
You control when to share client portals or project materials and who receives access. Clients and collaborators may be able to view, comment on, upload, or pay for content depending on the permissions you enable. You are responsible for managing access credentials and for ensuring that sharing complies with your client agreements and applicable law.
Where available, we may facilitate payments between you and your clients using Stripe Connect. Those transactions are processed by Stripe and, where applicable, handled by you as the seller. Funds are paid to your connected Stripe account according to Stripe's terms and payout schedule. We do not receive or store your clients' full payment card details. Disputes over client payments are primarily between you and your client, subject to Stripe's policies and applicable law.
Acceptable use and prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Services in violation of applicable law or these Terms;
- Upload, share, or store unlawful, infringing, abusive, or harmful content;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other accounts, or related systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Services except where permitted by law;
- Remove, circumvent, or interfere with security or access controls;
- Use the Services to build or distribute a competing product without our prior written consent; or
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the Services except as expressly permitted.
Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Services, including all software, branding, interfaces, documentation, and other materials we provide. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, reviews, or ideas regarding the Services, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display that feedback for the purpose of improving our products and services without compensation to you.
Disclaimer of warranties
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any representation, warranty, or condition of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including all implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services will be compatible with every device, browser, workflow, or third-party tool; that use of the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; or that content, including audio files and project data, will never be lost, corrupted, or unavailable.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent provided by law, in no case shall Muser Plugins be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to lost revenue from music production, corruption or loss of audio or project files, loss of data, business interruption, or damage to computer systems, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Third-party services
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party websites, digital audio workstations, plugins, or other tools. We are not responsible for the functionality, compatibility, security, or policies of those third parties. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy practices and is at your own risk.
Changes and termination
We may modify the Services or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by applicable law. By continuing to use the Services after updated Terms take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you breach these Terms, if required for security or legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. You and Muser Plugins consent to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
Questions about these Terms should be sent to support@muserplugins.com.
Refund policy
Effective date: 28 June 2026
No refunds policy
All Minims subscription purchases are final and non-refundable. Due to the digital nature of the Services, we do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds once a purchase has been completed.
We provide a free tier and may offer trials from time to time so you can evaluate compatibility, performance, and functionality before making a purchase decision.
Technical support exception
In the rare event that you experience a technical issue that is caused by a defect in the Services itself, cannot be resolved by our technical support team, and prevents you from using the Services entirely, you may contact us at support@muserplugins.com.
Payments between producers and their clients through client sharing features are separate from Minims subscriptions and are handled between those parties.
Policy updates
Muser Plugins reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
